Assistant District Attorney in the Civil Division 

This position is for a level IV Assistant District Attorney in our Civil Division. The main job duties will include: reviewing and drafting contracts; legal research and writing of legal opinions for elected officials and department heads; Public Information Act requests; advising elected officials and department heads; and reviewing and drafting proposed legislation. Some of the secondary responsibilities will include guardianship cases, Civil Service Grievance hearings, and Paupers’ Oath representation. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited law school and be a licensed attorney, in good standing, in the State of Texas. Additionally applicants must be eligible for licensing in federal court and have a minimum of 2 years experience in contract or transactional practice; governmental practice a plus.
