Chief, Checks/Identity Theft/Welfare Fraud Division
Mr. Bunger is the Chief of the Checks/Identity Theft/Welfare Fraud Division at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, where he has worked since September of 2008. In his role as division chief, he supervises five attorneys, six investigators, two Task Force State Troopers, and 10 full-time and two part-time support staff. He has been practicing law for more than 4 years and specializes in financial-based crimes, counterfeit currency and welfare fraud. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Bunger practiced Psychology and was a professor of Psychology at various colleges and universities. He earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. Mr. Bunger is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas District and County Attorneys Association (TDCAA), American Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists. Mr. Bunger is a native of Dallas, where he resides with his wife and two daughters.
