Chief, Administrative Chief, Division D
Ms. Kemp is the Administrative Chief Felony Division D at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. She has been practicing law since 1988 and her specialties include criminal, corporate and retirement law. In her current role, she supervises 26 attorneys, 20 investigators and 21 support staff. Ms. Kemp also worked at the Dallas County DA’s office during a previous five-year stint.
Since she returned to the DA’s office in 2006, she has been assigned to the felony trial courts, the Specialized Crime Division and worked as the Deputy Chief of the Family Violence Division, Chief of the Misdemeanor Division and Administrative Chief of the Grand Jury/Intake Division.
The Wewoka, Oklahoma, native earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma University. Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Kemp worked in the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office. Ms. Kemp then became the Assistant Secretary of State in Oklahoma City where she worked for three years before relocating to the Dallas area.
She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Oklahoma and the Texas District and County Attorneys Association.
