Heath Harris

Mr. Harris heads up the Gang Unit in the Organized Crime Division at the District Attorney’s (DA) Office, where he supervises one attorney and one investigator. The Lubbock, Texas, native has 11 years of experience practicing law and specializes in criminal trial litigation.

Mr. Harris rejoined the Dallas County DA’s Office in January of 2007 after a previous four-year stint as a prosecutor from 1996 to 2000. His professional and civic memberships include the J.L. Turner Legal Association, Democratic Forum, N.A.A.C.P., U.S. District Court Northern and Eastern District, P.V.L., 23rd Senatorial District Organization, Stonewall Democrats, Regional Organized Crime Information Center and he serves as a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas.

He is a graduate of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, where he earned a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree, and Lubbock-based Texas Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
