Felicia Oliphant, Chief, Child Abuse Division
Attorney Oliphant heads up the Child Abuse Division at the District Attorney’s (DA) Office, where she supervises 14 attorneys, 12 investigators and four support staff.
The Kansas City, Missouri, native has been with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office for eight years. She specializes in prosecuting cases involving the physical and sexual abuse of children, including child deaths, and has been practicing law for 11 years.
She was the recipient of the Outstanding Criminal Justice Award, 2003-2004, awarded by the Crime Victims Council of Dallas County. She was also a nominee for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office Prosecutor of the Year in 2006. Her professional and civic memberships include the State Bar of Texas, United States District Court, Northern District of Texas, Texas District and County Attorneys Association and the National District Attorneys Association.
She is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center where she earned a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in East Asian Languages and Cultures and Political Science.
